The McConnell Group Works with Acupuncture Therapy

January 13, 2012

New findings have shown that acupuncture is a form of treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD, and can be used for soldiers suffering from PTSD after serving in combat. Treated veterans have reported a reduction in stress, less anxiety and improved mental clarity.

The McConnell Group has recently employed an acupuncturist at Camp Pendleton. Dr. Martin Louie is the MD/Acupuncturist for the Navy's Psychological Health Care Access Initiative (PHAI) at Camp Pendleton.

Under PHAI, an innovative acupuncture approach has been developed by combining neuroanatomy and physiology with classic acupuncture techniques.
